This exclusive lot offers car enthusiasts a unique opportunity to own a genuine piece of racing history. The F192 car, produced by Dallara, was raced by the BMS Scuderia Italia team during the 1992 season, finishing in sixth place and driven by Formula 1 racing legends Pierluigi Martini and J.J. Lehto. The car, in classic Ferrari red, has a Ferrari 12-cylinder engine, comes with 700-horse power and is in perfect condition. Sander Houdel, Catawiki’s classic cars auctioneer, comments: ‘This auction offers classic car collectors from around the globe a chance to own a stunning Dallara Ferrari. The auction is particularly special given its Formula 1 racing history - we’re expecting a huge amount of interest and are confident that it will easily reach its £300,000 estimation.’ The auction will run from 15th until the 29th April 2016 at: http://auction.catawiki.co.uk/kavels/5523593-dallara-ferrari-formula-1-1992
What is CatawikiFounded in 2008, Catawiki was originally designed as a website where collectors could manage their collections online. In 2011, Catawiki started hosting weekly online auctions in various categories including art, antiques, classic cars, watches, jewellery, fashion, comics and stamps. Most objects on Catawiki have a fascinating story and you won't be able to find them in an average store. Before being auctioned, each object is screened by our extensive team of experts. They help guarantee a varied and high quality selection of lots in our auctions. Nowadays, for millions of people around the world, Catawiki is the place to go for buying and selling special objects. Catawiki has offices in the Netherlands, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Belgium and Sweden among others. In 2015 Catawiki received an investment of €75 million and won the award for being the fastest growing company in Europe.
Our BeliefsWe strongly believe that everyone should be able to buy and sell special objects every day in an exciting, easy and secure manner. That is why we are constantly working to make the Catawiki experience as special as the objects themselves.
Special ObjectsOn Catawiki everyone can find something to suit his or her interests. Every week tens of thousands of fascinating objects are available in our auctions. A few examples of objects that have been auctioned on Catawiki in the past include: a complete mammoth skeleton, the most expensive LEGO brick in the world, the pope's hat, a meteorite from Mars, Napoleon's hair, the oldest condom in the world and Muhammad Ali's boxing gloves.
