Megami-sama") is a romantic fantasy manga series by Kōsuke Fujishima, first published in 1988 and running until 2014. The story follows Keiichi Morisato, a college student who accidentally contacts the "Goddess Help Line" and summons the goddess Belldandy, who grants his wish to stay with him — leading to a heartwarming, magical love story. Fujishima, known for his detailed art and love of cars and motorcycles, is also the creator of You're Under Arrest! and a character designer for several famous video games (Tales of Symphonia, Sakura Wars). His unique blend of fantasy, romance, and mechanical precision made Ah! My Goddess a beloved classic. The goddesses in the series are inspired by Norse mythology — Belldandy comes from "Verdandi," while her sisters Urd and Skuld also share names with mythological Norns who control fate.
