Acquired directly from Campo Viejo winery in 2007 and meticulously stored in a private cellar until today. This exceptionally rare 57-year-old traditional Rioja was produced in a limited edition by Campo Viejo and is a remarkable example of classical long-aged Rioja winemaking. The wine was fermented and matured for 12 months in large wooden vats before undergoing 36 to 40 months of cask ageing. During this period, it was racked six times — once every six months — following the traditional Rioja cask-to-cask method. Under current standards of the Regulatory Board DOCa Rioja, it would qualify as a Gran Reserva. The blend comprises 70% Tempranillo, with the remaining 30% Garnacha, Mazuelo and Graciano.
