Northern European bronze chandelier, lathe-turned stem with large sphere-shaped bottom and spinning top-shaped finial, twelve openwork candleholder arms with volutes and spirals, surmounted by figures of saints and a wreath of stylised flowers on top
Height 70 cm, diameter 65 cm.
Purchased in 1983 at the Florence International Antiques Fair by the antiquarian Jan Roelofs, from Amsterdam.
The stated dimensions do not include the chain holding the chandelier.
