The story goes that the eagle-crowned clocks were made especially for officers in the military. I don't know if this story is true.
However, I know that this is a large clock and that it is complete because all ornaments are present. On top of the case there’s an ornament consisting of three parts, the upper part of which is the eagle. The eagle's wings were broken off and glued back together. The middle part misses a piece of veneer on the left.
The dial is made of paper and has Gustav Becker’s logo. The movement is of type P35 and made in the factory in Silesia. The winding holes have been cleaned and oiled. The clock runs for about a week and strikes well on a round gong. A key to wind the springs of the clock is present.
In the bottom part of the case there are many woodworm holes. The woodworm has been removed.
