Cadenhead's is Scotland's oldest independent whisky bottler, founded in 1842 in Aberdeen and now headquartered in Campbeltown. Renowned for its transparent and purist philosophy, Cadenhead's selects and bottles whiskies from distilleries across Scotland (and beyond), without added colorants, chill-filtering, and with a focus on the spirit's unique character. The Original Collection line offers balanced and approachable whiskies, often matured in bourbon or sherry casks, with a classic and instantly recognizable profile. Located near Buckie, along the northern coast of Speyside, Inchgower is a relatively unknown distillery, as much of its production ends up in Diageo blends (especially Bell's). However, its independent bottlings reveal an interesting character: a more robust Speyside than usual, with a saline minerality and full body that distinguishes it from many other whiskies in the area. This 14-year-old Inchgower, bottled by Cadenhead's, is a perfect example of how a "hidden" single malt can surprise with its quality and expressiveness.
