A fine Ancient Roman bronze follis of Constans. The obverse displays the rosette diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Constans facing right, accompanied by the legend CONSTANS P F AVG. The reverse features two Victories facing each other, each holding a wreath and palm branch, with an ivy leaf between in the centre. The accompanying legend reads VICTORIAE DD AVGGQ NN. Mintmark TRS in exergue. The coin was likely minted in AD 347-348 in Trier. Diameter: (circa) 1.6cm Weight: 1.89g Provenance: Ex Cambridgeshire private collection, acquired 1970s. N.B.
