Aoki Mokubei (1767–1833) was a Kyo ware potter and nanga painter during the late Edo period. He was born in Kyoto, in a family running a restaurant in Kyoto and learned art initially from Okuda Eisen. Five years later, he was invited by the Maeda Family of the Kaga clan, and he made efforts to revive Kaga Kutani ware.
