卖家的描述
Rosenthal “Plissé” Vase Duo by Ambrogio Pozzi – Sculptural Modernist Design, Germany
This exceptional pair of Rosenthal Studio-Linie “Plissé” vases was designed by Ambrogio Pozzi, one of Italy’s most innovative postwar designers. The duo demonstrates Pozzi’s refined architectural sensibility and his fascination with translating movement into form.
Crafted from brilliant white porcelain with a glossy glaze, the vases are defined by sharply pleated reliefs that evoke the rhythmic folds of fabric—precise, elegant, and full of kinetic energy. The interplay of light and shadow across the fluted surfaces reveals a near-sculptural mastery: geometry softened by touch, minimalism enriched by motion.
Pozzi (1931–2012), celebrated for his collaborations with Ceramica Franco Pozzi, Alessi, and later Rosenthal, was among the leading voices of Italian design’s rationalist yet poetic generation. His partnership with Rosenthal in the 1970s extended the *Studio-Linie* ethos—fusing industrial perfection with artisanal imagination. The *Plissé* series stands as a quintessential example of this collaboration: functional, timeless, and imbued with quiet dynamism.
Dimensions:
Tall vase – height 22.5 cm, diameter 11 cm
Low dome vase – height 6.5 cm, diameter 12 cm
Marked *Rosenthal Studio-Linie Germany, Ambrogio Pozzi.*
Condition: Excellent vintage condition, with pristine glaze and crisp detailing. No chips, cracks, or restorations.
A rare and harmonious duo, these vases exemplify the meeting of Italian sculptural intuition and Rosenthal’s technical precision—objects that bridge architecture, fashion, and modernist art.
