Pago la Jara 2002 from Telmo Rodríguez Winery is a powerful red wine from the Toro region, made mainly from the Tinta de Toro variety from old vines. It is characterised by its robust flavour, ideal for pairing with strong foods such as stews, roast meats and game. Area and vineyard: It comes from the Toro region, with old, low-density vineyards, mostly Tinta de Toro and a little Albillo Mayor. Production: The grapes are fermented in wooden vats with indigenous yeasts. The wine is aged for 15 to 18 months in 225-litre barrels and 1,500-litre foudres.
