In 1903 the first edition of this work saw the light under the title “The People’s Natural History”. After this, several editions followed in different forms and under different titles.
The here offered completely revised edition is dated 1923 and came in 6 volumes as “Nature Lovers Library”.

All volumes contain numerous b/w photographs and many full colour illustrations, The illustrations in the 3 volumes on American Birds are by Louis Agassiz Fuertes (1874-1927) a renowned American ornithologist and ornithological illustrator. The other colour illustrations are by various painters and illustrators.

The condition of the books is very good. The cloth covers have some tanning, inside is some occasional (minor) foxing. The binding is tight (only Vol. 1 has a cracked spine before the title pages, not affecting the actual interior of the book. No loose or missing pages.
