A fan shaped chunky crystal with great aesthetics and a very robust feel that is easier to appreciate in person, the ilvaite features a shiny velvety surface luster that works very well with the complex surface topography observed on it, featuring a myriad of tiny chisel shaped terminations arranged to make a larger and rounder one. Aside from that, the most striking feature seen in this specimen is definitely the calcite flower perched atop the ilvaite, which just looks amazing, with impeccable placement and the perfect concentric arrangement of the faces that make it up. The same goes for the less flashy but still nice calcite ball set on the base of the piece, both of them beeing the things that make this piece for me. Damage wise, the base is broken, and there is a little bit of some very light bruising here and there.
