A gorgeous original late 19th-early 20th century Thakat table, which was bought from an antiques dealer in New Delhi. It’s a strikingly large piece of furniture, solidly constructed from teak. An imposing piece, with turned legs, which typically flare out at the foot, iron reinforcing struts, a decorative studded border and attractive brass banding and central brass strips on the top. The surface has a wonderful patina, with wear consistent with more than a century of use. Item has been professionally packed and is ready to be picked up within the EU.
