Description:
Decorative pair of antique cherub heads made of plaster (gesso), finished with polychrome paint and gilt highlights.
These charming wall-mounted putti were produced around 1880–1930 in Central Europe and were used for devotional decoration in homes, chapels or small altars.
Material: Plaster (gesso)
Technique: Polychrome & gilt finish
Period: ca. 1880–1930
Origin: Central Europe
Dimensions: approx. 17 cm each
Condition:
– Good antique condition
– Minor wear to the paint and gilding
– Small chips on edges (typical for plaster pieces)
– No large cracks
– Original metal loops for hanging preserved
