Art Nouveau Stained-Glass Window Panel – In Excellent Condition – No Reserve – ca. 1910 (Amsterdam)
Imagine the warm morning light falling across your interior, projected through rich amber, deep green, cobalt blue and red geometric panes. This striking Art Nouveau stained-glass window once decorated an early 20th-century Amsterdam townhouse, and still radiates the same atmospheric elegance more than a century later. A true decorative eye-catcher, perfect to hang in front of a window, to mount in a frame, or to use as an architectural accent in a modern or classic interior.
A beautifully preserved, high-end quality Belle Époque stained-glass panel with geometric Jugendstil influences. All glass pieces are original, set in traditional lead cames and showing that characteristic texture and warmth found only in early 1900s workmanship.
• Period: ca. 1910
• Origin: Old Amsterdam townhouse
• Dimensions: approx. 43.5 × 52.5 × 1.5 cm (h × w × d)
• Weight: approx. 3.5–4 kg (estimate)
• Materials: Coloured mouth-blown glass, textured glass, lead cames
Condition: In excellent condition for its age, ready to hang (metal hooks attached)
Special features: Strong Art Nouveau/Jugendstil geometric design; rich colour palette with green, amber, blue and red accents; textured glass producing a warm dappled light effect
Historical context:
Around 1900–1910, stained glass became a defining decorative element in Dutch Art Nouveau architecture. Townhouses in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and The Hague often featured colourful leaded windows in hallways, stairwells and living rooms. The geometric compositions of this period show the transition from the flowing curves of early Jugendstil to the more linear forms that later influenced Dutch modernism and the Amsterdam School.
Shipping:
Secure professional packaging. Shipment in a sturdy box with ample padding to protect the glass and lead.
