Historical context:

Around 1900–1910, stained glass became a defining decorative element in Dutch Art Nouveau architecture. The geometric compositions of this period show the transition from the flowing curves of early Jugendstil to the more linear forms that later influenced Dutch modernism and the Amsterdam School.
