Rothschild Jean-Maurice - 咖啡桌 - 熟鐵, 大理石, 硬木
Round coffee table with a wrought iron base and a marble top, designed around 1950 by Jean-Maurice Rothschild. Jean-Maurice Rothschild (1902-1998), trained at the École Boulle in Paris, designed the interior of the Eiffel Tower restaurant (1937) and the furniture for the luxury ocean liner Normandie, among other notable works.
This distinctive table features a round marble top with green veining, encased in a wrought iron frame.
The structure rests on a sturdy metal base with large, fan-shaped legs. Each leg is adorned with detailed wooden figures carrying the table on their backs. They are seated cross-legged, dressed in traditional attire, with a gentle, smiling expression. At three points on the base, large iron scrolls are accompanied by a hanging round ring.
Pick up only in Hoogstraten, Belgium.
