【Important notes】

・International Buyers: Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility.
・Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying. These duties are paid to your country's customs office and not to us. Prompt payment of these fees is necessary to ensure delivery of your item.
・We deeply value your understanding regarding the blade's export process. The duration to secure an export permit might extend up to 3-4 weeks, and shipping, based on the destination, could take an additional month. In some instances, sea freight may be chosen, which might lengthen the delivery period to 2-3 months.
・Considering the diligence required for export permit procedures, we'd like to emphasize the importance of commitment after purchase. If the auction is annulled post-confirmation, there's a need to retract the said permit. In such situations, to cover administrative efforts, a fee equating to 10% of the auction's final amount would be requested via PayPal.
・We kindly request bids from those who fully acknowledge these conditions. Please be informed that the original registration document is required to be returned to official authorities, so a copy will be provided with the sword.

【Product details】

Delve into the storied past of the samurai with this authentic Japanese katana, a blade of remarkable heritage presented in a minimalist white scabbard. Accompanying this exquisite piece is a copy of the official registration certificate, as the original has been dutifully returned to the authorities.

Registered under Tokyo's official records as number 97799, this katana bears no signature, an alluring mystery for aficionados of Japanese arms. The sword measures 70.4cm in length with a graceful curvature of 1.6cm and a single peg hole. The absence of an inscription (無銘 - Mumei) suggests an unknown maker, adding an intriguing layer to its history. This piece was officially registered on April 9, 1959 (Showa 34).

Please note, the blade collar and the scabbard's vicinity show signs of rust, making drawing the sword challenging due to the snug fit. The scabbard's handle is also resistant to removal.
The blade shows signs of wear, minor scratches, and rust.
The stand is not included with the purchase.
