The condition of the guitar is excellent, with minimal signs of use. The frets are in good condition. The fretboard is wonderfully smooth, the matte neck feels perfect to the touch, offering no resistance. The manufacturer's specifications are in one of the photos. The neck joint in the body is seamless, without sharp edges or angles. The comfort is on par with neck-through guitars. Certain parts of the guitar have a subtle marble pattern, visible in the photos. The back cover is not uniformly black; it shows decorative specks of contrasting color Flaxwood material.

The entire guitar is made from a pine fiber-based Flaxwood composite, ensuring a wonderful sound that stays in tune regardless of temperature and humidity. It features an incredibly long sustain. When the strings are struck, the guitar resonates amazingly, sounding beautiful both plugged in and acoustically.

The scale is 25.5", medium jumbo frets, 12" radius. Top-class hardware from Gotoh – locking tuners, tune-o-matic bridge, and tailpiece. The pickups are a fantastic set of Seymour Duncan SP90-1 Vintage Soapbars, which sound beautiful both clean and distorted.

The guitar looks excellent, sounds great, and feels perfect in the hand. It resonates incredibly.
This unique, unprecedented instrument will satisfy even the most demanding guitarists.
Included are a Hiscox hard case (top case manufacturer (eg. Mayones guitars)), a certificate of authenticity, handtags and original strap lock clips (Shaller's).

If you're looking for something special that will surprise owners of PRSs or Gibson Custom Shops, this is the guitar, Made In Finland. The Flaxwood material feels and sounds like the best wood but also boasts all the benefits of materials like Aristides' Arium (Netherlands) or RUF's Ruffaine (Poland). It has the feeling, resonance and sustain of the Ebony fretboard matched with mahogany body, but with the lightness of Ash. Extremly stable and resistance to outside temperature.

The guitar's history is confirmed by email directly from the manufacturer, with witnesses and photos:

In the sleepy town, in the middle of Tohmajärvi, the guitar is being created, by Flaxwood very own, Roderick Welch.
Guitar is completed in the December 2015.
Flaxwood presents it in January 2016 at a NAMM trade show in California, then brings it back to Finland and sells it locally via local guitar shop in Helsinki. Around this time, the guitar is being purchased by an artist named Tomi Saalanto. After couple of years, the guitar is bought and shipped to Poland, via collector and seller Jan Kraciuk (AKA Guitarian), to another artist - Uboshi (that's me).

Uniqueness of the guitar was confirmed last year by Mika Räty, the CEO of Flaxwood Guitars. Mika states: "It's a guitar completed in December 2015, which would indeed be at the NAMM Show in California in January 2016. It is one of our previous custom models, which are no longer manufactured, except to custom orders; model name Master 290 SH, edge-bound and fixed TOM bridge, different from the Classic basic model of that time, later renamed to Liekki 290 H." (translated from Finnish)

It is a great instrument that I have used it to record great, great guitar parts and it is a joy to play unplugged, and especially, plugged in into tube amp. It cleans up really nicely, volume knob is very responsive and can we used within its full range. Take plugins really well too, I have used Neural DSP plugins with great success. Very touch sensitive, with the most comfortable heel join that I have experienced.

Sadly, I have decided to let this one go, since I am not playing as much as I used to.
Feel free to ask any question about the guitar or the brand. Happy playing!
