Carl Meltzer & Co. - attributed to Josef Hoffmann - Vase (2) - Glas, Kristall

Among his notable achievements are this pair of Art Deco-style glass vases, design from around 1920, embodying the movement's celebration of modernity, sleek lines, and luxurious materials. These vases, crafted with precision by skilled glassblowers, exemplify the dynamic essence of Art Deco.

While debates exist among scholars and connoisseurs regarding their precise alignment with the style, their true origins and place within Hoffmann's body of work await further examination. Nonetheless, Hoffmann's collaboration with Moser and Carl Meltzer & Co., Langenau bei Haida, left an indelible mark on the design world, with these vases serving as intriguing artefacts that continue to captivate diligent researchers and passionate collectors.

Needless to say, we've composed the pair, they do not originally come as a pair, but normally they would come either as identical pair, or singular. Nevertheless, we've decided to combine them, for the similarities in shape and craftsmanship, while different in colour, made them more contemporary, in our opinion.

Please examine the photos well, although both vases are in good vintage condition, they would have reasonable wear and traces of use and time

Both vases are in a very good vintage condition, with reasonable wear consistent with normal use and age.
