Claudia's dad is a gemologist who creates jewellery by selecting the best gemstones from international gems shows. Fascinated by her father’s profession, Claudia decided to follow in his footsteps. This is why she decided to graduate as a gemologist by the GIA and specialise in modern jewellery. Now, after 10 years of experience, she brings her skills and knowledge to Catawiki, screening lots and looking for intriguing models of modern jewellery: new designers, new setting techniques, etc. Besides jewellery, Claudia is passionate about gemstones. According to her, ‘every gemstone has something different that makes it special’. At Catawiki, Claudia uses her expertise in jewellery, gemstones and appraising, having the opportunity to see a lot of interesting jewellery, and that’s why, according to her, ‘screening lots can become a little addictive!’.
