To help keep Catawiki safe and fair, these guidelines explain how to communicate with other users.
Keep transactions on Catawiki
If you meet another user through Catawiki, you must not arrange to buy, sell or pay for an object outside our marketplace.
This includes:
- asking for or accepting payment outside Catawiki
- directing another user to a different sales channel or payment method
- sharing links, QR codes or instructions intended to move a sale or future purchase outside Catawiki
- using communication to avoid Buyer Protection or the Seller Success fee
If another user asks you to complete a transaction outside Catawiki, let us know.
Communicate respectfully
When using our message centre, reviews or other communication features, you must not:
- insult, harass or discriminate against other users or our employees
- send unsolicited advertising, promotions, requests for donations or spam
You must also follow our User Communication & Anti-Harassment Policy when communicating with others.
Keep other users’ info private
You may only use another user’s contact details when needed to complete a specific Catawiki transaction and delivery.
You must not collect, share, sell or use another user’s personal info for another purpose.
How we help enforce these rules
To help keep our marketplace safe, we may use automated systems and, where appropriate, review communications sent through Catawiki to identify and investigate possible violations of our Terms or policies.
If these rules are broken, we may take action on the account involved in line with our Terms of Use.
