Buyers must pay for their order within 3 days of the auction closing. If the buyer used Buy now, they must pay immediately.
If the buyer does not pay within the required timeframe, we’ll send them several payment reminders by email.
If we still do not receive the payment, and you have the multi-offer option enabled, we may offer the object to other bidders before resubmitting it for auction.
Between day 7 and day 9, the payment request is opened to the second-highest bidder and third-highest bidder. The object will be offered based on their highest bid. The first eligible bidder who completes the payment will receive the object.
If no buyer pays for the object, we’ll cancel the unpaid sale and automatically resubmit the object for auction. This gives you another chance to sell it.
Almost 70% of resubmitted objects are successfully sold in the next auction.
Resubmission means that your unpaid object will automatically be approved for auction again. An expert will then schedule it in the first available auction.
You can choose not to resubmit a specific object if you prefer. We’ll email you with your resubmission options and explain how to proceed.
We may cancel the sale without resubmitting the object if the object’s sale value is over €2,500 and the original buyer does not pay.
You can enable or manage the multi-offer option in your account settings, under your re-auction preferences.
If you do not want unpaid objects to be resubmitted automatically, you can also change your re-auction preferences in settings.
