Ancient Roman Lead Mystique Plaque an interesting Representation on an Ancient Religious Cult. The present round plaque displaying highly interesting image of an ancient cult which can't be restored in front our eyes in other way. The series of different plaques round and shaped as temples mostly made of lead are also playing role of a votive icons. Sol the god of sun and luna opposite to him are obviously the personification of the day and night, under are the Dioscuri brothers on horseback opposite, all surrounded of different animals: lion, eagle, snake, dog, fish, duck, bulls head.
Traces of restoration, perfectly placed two half parts of the same icon without damage of the entire view. Nice brownish patina and well visible image. Very Rare.

Diameter: 7,7cm.

The object will be shipped with an Austrian export license.
