Antoninus Pius. 138-161 AD. Æ Sestertius (29mm, 24,8 g.). Rome mint. Struck 147-148 AD. ANTONINVS AVG PIVS PP TR P XI Laureate bust right, slight drapery. Rev. ANNONA AVG Annona standing left, holding grain-ears over modius and anchor set on ground to right. S-C across the fields, COS IIII in exergue. RIC III 840. Struck on an irregular flan with some minor defects marks, lack of patina on edge, otherwise very clear images both made by very talented ancient die engraver with a beautiful dark green olive patina.
