Athens – Attica – Tetradrachm (ca. 454–404 BC)
Front side (obverse): head of Athena facing right, depicted with a frontal eye. The helmet is decorated with an olive branch and a palmette.
Back (reversal): An owl standing facing right with a frontal gaze; on the left, an olive branch and a crescent moon, in front of which the inscription ΑΘΕ (abbreviation for "Athenaion"). The entire motif is enclosed within a square-shaped clay field (incuse square).
