Amsterdam, 14 July 2026 - Catawiki, Europe’s leading online marketplace for special objects, announces two senior leadership appointments, with Daniel Alonso Moreno joining as Chief Product Officer (CPO) and Antonio Mena Salim joining as Vice President of Shipping. Together, the appointments reflect Catawiki’s continued investment in further enhancing the buyer and seller experience, through product innovation and a seamless end-to-end customer journey.
The company is building on strong commercial momentum after a record year, following record profitability in 2025, Q1 2026 revenue growth of nearly 30% year-on-year and first-time bidders reaching an all-time high. Catawiki recently launched Catawiki Live, bringing a live auction experience to the platform, alongside innovative new auction formats like 24-hour and one-hour auctions. These developments underscore Catawiki’s broader focus on making every interaction with the marketplace more engaging, intuitive and customer-centric.
Chief Product Officer - Daniel Alonso Moreno will join Catawiki’s Management Team in October and will lead the company’s Product & UX teams, overseeing the next phase of product development across the marketplace.
Daniel Alonso Moreno
Daniel brings more than 15 years of experience building and scaling consumer technology products at the intersection of retail, e-commerce and marketplaces. Most recently, he served as Chief Product & Technology Officer at Qida, a B-corp certified company focused on the silver economy. Prior to that, he was Chief Product Officer at Glovo, where he led the company's global Product organisation and helped scale its Q-Commerce business, while shaping the customer experience across one of Europe's largest technology platforms. Earlier in his career, Daniel held senior product and operations leadership roles at Walmart eCommerce, following experience at Zara and McKinsey & Company. He holds an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business and studied business at ESADE and the University of St. Gallen.
Daniel Alonso Moreno said: “Catawiki is a truly unique marketplace. It offers special and rare finds, backed by knowledgeable experts. I’m really looking forward to making the experience feel unique for every user and making Catawiki a global destination for special objects.”
Vice President of Shipping - Antonio Mena Salim will join Catawiki in September to strengthen the shipping experience across its global marketplace. Millions of objects are shipped through Catawiki every year, with around two-thirds of sales taking place across borders. While sellers remain responsible for shipping, Catawiki supports them with the tools, guidance and services needed to provide buyers with a reliable and seamless delivery experience. Antonio will lead the company’s efforts to further improve this journey as Catawiki continues to grow internationally.
Antonio Mena Salim
Antonio brings more than 20 years of experience in global supply chain, logistics, operations and procurement across e-commerce, logistics and consulting environments. He joins from Amazon, where he most recently led EU third-party transport operations and procurement. Earlier in his career, he held senior logistics, fulfilment and transformation roles at Amazon and Deutsche Post DHL Group, with experience spanning last-mile delivery, fulfilment, operational scaling and large-scale transformation programmes.
Antonio Mena Salim said: “The thrill of winning an auction creates an incredibly exciting buyer experience. I am more than excited to join Catawiki’s team of passionate people and work together to delight our buyers and sellers with a fantastic shipping and delivery experience.”
Ravi Vora, CEO of Catawiki, commented: “We are very pleased to welcome Daniel and Antonio to Catawiki. Product innovation and shipping are central to how we continue improving the buying and selling experience for our users. Daniel brings the right combination of customer focus, product leadership and digital marketplace experience, while Antonio brings deep expertise in logistics, operations and scaling complex fulfillment networks. As we build on our strong performance momentum, their leadership will be instrumental in making Catawiki an even more engaging and seamless destination for special finds.”
Daniel’s favourite categories on Catawiki include LEGO and Star Wars pop art. “So far, I have acquired three new pieces of art, and although I’ve lost a few bids, I can already see my house being completely redecorated over the next few months,” he added.
Antonio is particularly drawn to Catawiki’s motorsports memorabilia. “As a car enthusiast, I fell in love with Catawiki’s amazing selection of real F1 memorabilia from Lewis Hamilton to Ayrton Senna. I already have a few favourites on my watchlist,” he said.
