The creator of Coca-Cola, John Pemberton, was a former colonel in the American Civil War and had been left injured and addicted to morphine. He created Coca-Cola as an alternative medicine and so registered as French Wine Coca Nerve Tonic. Pemberton claimed that it cured headaches, impotence, and indigestion. Although it has been established that isn't true, it can help with stomach blockish.

Cuba has been under a trade embargo since 1962, despite the negotiations becoming more fluid under former President Obama the Embargo remains. Coca-Cola can’t be taken into Cuba officially. North Korea is a whole different story, they live in their own ‘anti-American bubble’. All the American beverage are unlikely to be seen in a North Korean supermarket.

In the twenties, Coca-Cola began advertising around the Christmas holidays. They used various images of a bearded, red-suited man as we now as Santa of today. This looks very normal now, but at that time it was the very first time Santa was represented in that way.
