Good morning the vase does not have a metal base because it is original, those vases did not have a bottom but a small glass container which was destroyed after 120 years, photo no. 49 is very clear and you can see very well that the vase is made in this way. If it had had a metal base it would not have been original I have been an antique dealer for 40 years and I have sold many vases similar to yours and no one has ever complained because they knew that those vases did not have a metal base please (if you want) to change your review Thank you Giuseppe https://www.ebay.it/itm/403495160202 I'm sending you this link so you can understand what you purchased.
