I am sorry to learn that you are not completely satisfied with your purchase.   The leather straps are genuine cowhide leather.  We do not see the leather straps have opened up in the pictures.  If it is damaged during transport, please let us know.  The crystal is mineral crystal, not acrylic plastic which is rarely used in modern watches.
