Crucial parts missing. Antique instrument is worthless without them. Seller claims he put them in the box. But that is not true. Box was undamaged so did not fall out. Escalated to Catawiki.

As I told the buyer all the parts of the magic lantern were carefully packed in the parcel. If the parcel was intact when arrived as the buyer told me he was certain the only explanation is he discarded those parts when unpacking and he should check his waste bin. Furthermore, those parts are not useful by themselves to anyone, they go with this particular magic lantern, they are not like for example standard microscope objectives that could be useful by their own to anybody. So it's also unlikely anyone would have taken them from the parcel. I had this magic lantern on y desk for many years and I did the packing myself there, did not use any external packer/shipper, I would still see the items at my desk if I would happen to forget to include them...
