    Hello, I don't understand why you were asked for customs duties… I declared that it is a gift and has a value of £50 just so you don't have to pay taxes. I don't know what laws there are now in Italy with customs duties, but I think you were tricked by the Italian authorities. The fact that I declared a value of £50 in the customs documents and that it was a gift for you should have been exempt from tax according to the law. Regards, Luc
