    sir no one washes damascus it is clearly written in the description that damascus steel consists of 1095 high carbon and carbon rusts when exposed to humidity even and you washes it who washes damascus steel ? water rust carbon immediately so even when you wash it use a little bit of oil or greece and apply on the blade so it should not rust even when you open the pckaging the blades are oiled so they dont rust
