The order was cancelled solely due to the lack of a UK VAT number. I acknowledge that I should have made it clearer that I’m currently unable to sell to the UK. The buyer’s claim that I “refused to refund bank fees” is misleading. He asked me to cover both his bank’s currency conversion charges (suggesting I send money via PayPal) and the Catawiki Buyer Protection fee — warning that I would be asked by Catawiki to pay it myself. This was entirely inappropriate and factually incorrect. The buyer also attempted to influence me by referencing negative experiences with other sellers — including a “scammer.” I categorically refuse to take responsibility for the actions or misconduct of others. This was a thinly veiled attempt to pressure me over costs entirely outside my control. I communicated clearly and professionally with both the buyer and Catawiki. The claim that I made no attempt to resolve the issue is simply untrue. So that's the actual gist of it.
