    The minerals are much less fluorescent, very very little actually. Pictures are not corresponding to reality

    The specimens were photographed with a 18W SW Way too cool tube lamp at a distance of approx 30 cm. The quartz reacts to SW MW and LW UV. What lamp are you using ?
