The frame is in very poor condition. The back does not fit, the fastenings on the bottom screws are missing. One of the top screws broke off during transport. The piece is unusable in its current stat

Dear Denes Szy, I'm sorry to hear you're not satisfied with your purchase. I clearly described and photographed the condition of al my listings. Everything was checked beforehand. There are only two clips at the top, no screws. There shouldn't be a screw there. I make photos with many close-ups of all my items. I still have over 195 Urania items for sale. I want to keep my buyers well-informed so they will continue to buy from me in the future. You have a shop Düsseldorf with unique Art Nouveau objects and extensive experience buying at auctions. I was therefore proud, and also of the museum in Zons, which recently purchased a tea set at the previous auction. In my opinion, everything is clear, and the condition of the gold is clearly visible in the photos. Unfortunately, there's not much I can do about the fact that a screw breaks off at some point. I am disappointed that you didn't contact me after receiving the picture frame. You simply gave me bad feedback without informing me.

Het klopt dat de glansgraad nu erg hoog is. De vaas is namelijk recent voor de veiling gepolijst. De statische lading die ontstaat tijdens het polijsten heeft grote invloed op het antimoon. Dit proces geeft juist nu de verhoogde glans aan het tin. Mijn ervaring is dat dit na verloop van tijd minder wordt. Zoals u misschien weet was Urania onder andere bekend om de bijzondere tin legering die zij gebruikten. Zij werden juist geroemd vanwege de hoge glans die Urania wist te behalen. Gerenommeerde kunstkenners hebben hierover geschreven in de vakbladen. Het is natuurlijk niet mogelijk om een toonzaal van Urania uit die tijd te bekijken, maar dat moet spectaculair zijn geweest. Dat de vaas voor u nu als nieuw wordt ervaren klopt dus helemaal en is een mooi compliment aan de bedenkers van deze legering van "Zilver tin".
De kandelaar ziet er mooi uit. Je ziet wel, wanneer je goed kijkt dat op de plek waar niet goed aan te komen is, dat daar het oppervlak nog ruw is. Daar moet ik uit afleiden dat het polijstwerk is.
