    One speaker and cable is defect; high resistance. The other is good. Replaced both speaker cables, re-soldered direct to the speakers. Both speakers now read 5 ohms and are good.

    Thank you Karl, Sorry to hear, is there a cable-breakage somewhere? I thought it was the connection between speaker connector and the worn-out output-connection of the old amplifier. sometimes I had to clutter this. I still remember from a long time ago the original gray cables had breakage, my father replaced. Kind regards, Helke
