Seller communication was almost impossible. I paid extra for cleaning, but the carpet arrived smelly with five visible stains. I doubt it was cleaned and filed a complaint with Catawiki.
I'm very dissatisfied! The packaging was torn and dirty. The rug was dirty and had a very unpleasant odor. The delivery arrived after I had complained and asked for a refund.

As mentioned before, the carpets you purchased are used carpets from the 1970s.. The carpets may therefore have dirt or dust. As a carpet cleaning company, we recommend professional cleaning to prevent such problems. Unfortunately, the shipment took longer because it went to Cyprus. This has nothing to do with your complaint. Please refer to the tracking number for the shipping date. This applies to both purchases you made with us.

Oddly enough, this happened with both purchases. The complaint was filed before you even saw the carpets.

It came quickly, and was in absolutely perfect condition. We are so happy with it!
The carpet was filthy, stains not visible in the photos, sandy substance gathered at the foldings, scraps of grain, and blothes of candle wax. I paid 70 euros for having it cleaned. Contacted Catawiki

In our auction page on Catawiki, only used carpets are offered, some of which are over 30 years old. Therefore, as a carpet cleaning company, we also recommend a cleaning, which indicates this in the description. We have not been contacted before to find a solution. If you didn't like it, you could have sent the carpet back. Only the purchased carpet was paid!! If you had wanted an extra cleaning, the carpet would have been vacuumed and then professionally washed. Some of the spots can be seen in photos 3-5. Therefore, the rating is not correct and misleading

Carpet looks like the picture and is overall in good condition (albeit very dirty). Description of the carpet mentioned it was made in Turkey and in wool. This one is made in Iran and in polyester!
Beautiful carpet for a fraction of its price and quick delivery. Need to get professionally cleaned and the package was messy , but these ain’t serious issues, I’m satisfied
