We are delighted to present this violin for artists, connoisseurs and collectors alike. Up for bidding is an old 4/4 violin from France, labelled copy De Stainer

Instrument Overview:
This violin is in overall good condition. There is some damage under the chin rest and there is a chip out of the right top side of the scroll due to intense use in the past years.


In addition to the violin, this lot includes an old hand cut bridge, and a new uncut sound post. The sound post has to be replaced before playing. The instrument comes with original old gut strings and a vintage French protective case

Craftsmanship Details:

Admire the craftsmanship displayed in the high-grained spruce of the top and the double sided flamed back, skillfully restored and reinforced (see inside pictures)
