The handle is solid tin and has a 24 karat gold plated hilt and silver plated gargoyles left and right on the guard. The gargoyles on top of the handle and the guard are fantastically nicely detailed. The three gargoyles have genuine Swarovski crystals in their paws. The eyes of the large gargoyle are 3 garnet cabochons and they are applied on the middle of the guard as well. The stainless steel blade is decorated with a beautiful Celtic drawing and provided with a protective coating to prevent stains. The dagger is truly in a near mint condition, simply museum quality. The wooden display is black in colour with a deep red velvet inlay. The wooden wall display is in very good condition, only the spot where the dagger hangs in front is slightly discoloured but this isn’t noticeable when the dagger is in its place.
