This auction is for a 6 V Spirit of St. Louis retro field radio, manufactured for collectors. Provided with a wooden casing, this radio has 3 wavelengths (FM/MW/LW). A metal front with (LED) lights and an illuminated dial, as can be seen in the photos. The 6 volts come from four C4 batteries of 1.5 V each. (If desired, a transformer could be ordered as an extra, this is not the case here). 4 new C4 batteries are included. If needed, they are widely available and inexpensive. Size of the radio: around 21 x 30 19 cm. Weight (with packaging) around 4 kg. When you buy this radio, this is stored in an attic, where it has been for decades. When taken down from the attic, the packaging will be opened and the operation will be tested with new batteries. Everything works as is to be expected. The radio will be auctioned off as being in near mint condition, which is because the packaging has been opened. The radio is in fact unused. The whole will be shipped packed well, as soon as possible after confirmation of payment by Catawiki; the shipment is done via PostNL, registered with Track & Trace number, which is sent to the bidder after shipping. The lot cannot be picked up. If shipment is done before or during Christmas, the delivery time will probably be longer than normal.
