RUDOLF FRANZ LEHNERT (1878-1948) & ERNST HEINRICH LANDROCK (1878-1966) 1904 they opened a studio and shop in Tunis. Lehnert was the photographer and Landrock the business man. Lehnert photographed tradition life, people, nude women and girls, craftsman, traditional architecture and landscapes. Their business were very professional and they started just at the time when "Orientalism" was very fashionable in Europe. The negatives (large glass plates) were shipped to Dresden. There the large bromure prints were printed as well as the heliogravures and hundreds of different postcards. Young nude Berber women with traditional vase Original vintage bromure print, 1904-1906 lower right corner with artist logo in the negative and edition number 39.8 x 29.5 - print in extremely rare large size used condition, damages at the upper right corner with loss of paper, bends of all other corners, slight residues of paint above the head, little hole on the left margin, tiny pin hole in the breast, in general the print has a lot of damages at the margis and corners, the print itself is beautiful, rich toned, in beautiful condition and without any rubbing This photo was published very often at its time of production. It is also published in the large monograph "Lehnert & Landrock. Orient 1904 - 1930", Edition Braus, Heidelberg, 1998.
