A saxophone that was imported from France by Boosey & Hawkes. The “Oxford” model from Pierret is well-known and is comparable to the Pierret “Super Artiste”. Pierret initially were conservative in adapting his models and adding innovations, they presented some good saxophones in the 1950s which are considered as such by saxophone players all over the world. Some even preferred these models over the iconic Selmer Mark VI. - Silver-plated saxophone of which the plating is in 99% condition. - Music stand clip has been taken off (last photos). - Pads in reasonable condition - playable. Adjustment is needed. - Nice, large tone with this mouthpiece (Buescher-like) - No disturbing dents or deep scratches. Signs of wear. - No slack in the axes. Everything nice and straight. Springs okay. - The case needs replacing. - Brilhart (Ebolin - Special) mouthpiece with original ligature. (Good condition) Ebolin forceful with a a dark core and a nice edge, can be like a good Link HR. I am not a saxophone player, but this instrument can be played at a professional level.
