Offered from a private collection, gem for collectors! Dimensions: 36 x 26 cm Remarkable. Around 1935 in Cuba a large cigar factory of the famous brand Carl Upmann went bankrupt. A trader bought a huge stock of Upmann labels from the bankrupt estate. So it could happen that in the Netherlands false Upmann cigars were offered. This trademark infringement remained without consequences. Due to the war (lack of raw materials), the trade came to an end anyway. By the way, after the second world war cigar brands of Upmann found their way to the market in Cuba again. Albeit with a first name other than Carl.
