Wonderful Swiss made chronograph by Pierce - early 1940s - original sand-coloured dial in perfect condition (see photos) - printed Arabic numerals and brand - external blue tachymetric scale (see photos) - yellow gold hour and minutes hands, red chronograph seconds hand (see photos) - sub-dial at 12 o'clock (chronograph) and at 6 o'clock (seconds time) - plexiglas crystal in perfect condition without scratches - crown without logo - olive-shaped chronograph push-buttons, lower one starts and stops the chronograph, upper one restarts it - chrome-plated case in good condition with very minor signs of age (I haven't has it restored so as not to lose its authenticity, see photos) - steel case back, branded on the outside - branded hand-wound movement made by Pierce, calibre 134 with column wheel - very rare - the first movement with vertical joint in the history of watchmaking - both the time and chronograph functions are in working order (starts and restarts perfectly) - serviced by a professional watchmaker in September 2017. There are two sizes of this type of chronograph; this one is the large size, 37 mm without crown, lug to lug: 18 mm, brown leather strap: 220 mm. Very rare chronograph, all original and both the time and chronograph functions are in working order. Very fine on the wrist, for collectors. Packaged in a generic watch box.
