Emile Bruchon (1806 - 1895) - Statue - Jeune femme "Faneuse" - Zamac - fin du 19ème siècle
Large zamak sculpture of the French artist Emile Bruchon (1806-1895) from the second half of the 19th century. The French artist left his signature on the base of the sculpture.
Depicted is a 'faneuse' (literally: shaker); The lady scatters seeds and grains, which she keeps in the cloth around her waist, before putting them in the ground.
Emile Bruchon was a student of the famous French sculptor Mathurin Moreau and made both sculptures and decorative objects, in bronze and zamak.
In good general condition. The patina was presumably touched up.
