An Art Deco champagne bucket by Luc Lanel for Christofle. The pattern called “Ondulation” was designed in 1932 for the first class dining room and bar of the ocean liner, the S.S. Normandie. This grand ship was the ultimate in Art Deco interiors. Excecuted in heavy silver plated metal with a ribbed body and ribbed lug handles. This champagne bucket is a rare and iconic piece of design history. Marks for Christofle to the bottom Measuring H. 21cm W. 24cm and weighing 1496g Condition - Overall in a good condition, with marks scratches and blemishes, particularly to the inside bottom, consistent with the age.
