Painting on canvas in very good condition, 25 years ago purchased in a gallery in Bali, sturdy black wooden frame of 3 cm wide, the total dimensions are 105 x 85 Warm colours, very strong work with an eye for detail. Dotpainting is used to tell a story. This story finds its origin in old mythological times, the present or the future, coming together in dream time, the special and for western people hard to understand concept of time of the Aboriginals. A lot of symbols are used. A circle mostly indicates a place to spend the night. The letter U stands for a human being. If a spear is painted next to the U, it is a man, if there is a digging stick next to it, it is a woman. The treks of humans and animals are represented by long lines.
