Two throat microphones in bakelite housing on metal neck bracket (leather lining of this exhibits wear), with switch, also of bakelite. The switch has a clip to attach to the clothing. The bakelite of both microphone and switch is completely undamaged, no cracks or repairs. The connector plug has a metal housing. The textile with which the cables are wrapped is in excellent condition. The metal plate around one of the cables shows the text 'KMF.B', which probably means 'Kommando Führer B'. This 'Kehlkopfmikrophon' was used in German tanks during WW2. Throat microphones do not pick up ambient noise and are therefore ideally suited for noisy environments while the wearer has his hands free. This is a rare piece in good condition which rarely comes on the market.
