Wheel lock gun around 1600. German. Fully-connected wheel lock pistol with octagonal barrel, at the edge passing into baluster fitting at the muzzle. 7 riflings, small brass sight. Wheel lock with cut springs, encased, external wheel and pan with spring-loaded cover with release button. Complete butt and pear knob are completely covered with blackened bone or deer horn (NO ivory!) Mascarons, dragons, knight portraits and tendril decorations on the top of the handle, such as "Judith with the head of Holofernes" and much more adorn this beautiful collector's item. The trigger guard and left-sided belt hooks are each decorated with three-piece perforation and made of iron. Oak ramrod with engraved bone tip.
