Up for auction is a very rare Junghans Tonneau with the J86 (686.70) calibre. The recently serviced movement (Google 'Junghans J86 ranfft') is unusual and like the case was only produced for two years - mid 1937 to mid 1939. After that time Junghans went into fulltime military instrument and watch production. These watches were popular with the German officer class for formal evening wear. The classic dial [[measures 22.20mms]] is original with a very little patina and the case is in good original condition. The watch has been cherished. The new contemporary strap will fit wrists to 22.00cms. Please bear in mind that the Junghans is almost 80 years old.
